Professional Learning for Teachers

Accredited Professional Learning

NSW public schools teachers can attend targeted professional learning workshops where they develop skills and knowledge for implementation in the classroom and beyond. Workshops focus on a range of musical aspects including developing conducting skills, rehearsing quality, strategic choral and instrumental music repertoire, extending stylistic awareness, overcoming challenges in the music classroom and are supported by high quality recorded material and curriculum based teaching materials.  These workshops enable teachers to prepare their students for the complete concert experience and build leadership skills in developing their own choral and instrumental music programs in their school.

A regional outreach program is offered where the Chief Conductor and Instrumental Music Coordinator attend regional camps to assist, mentor and conduct regional ensembles upon request.

For further enquiries please contact Steve Williams, Chief Conductor - Instrumental Music on 02 8512 1186 or Scott Ryan, Instrumental Music Programs Assistant on 02 8512 1188.

Accreditation with the New South Wales Institute of Teachers is available for most courses. Registration is avaialble through MyPL.
